Summary
Alright, my fellow gamers from Osaka! 🎮 Get ready to roll into the vividly colorful world of Temtem — the enchanting creature-collection MMORPG that’s like Pokémon but gets a mega upgrade on those friendly battles and vibrant aesthetics! Dropped by the creative geniuses at Crema, this gem has been making waves since its launch on September 6, 2022.
Imagine hopping across seven fantastical islands, each bursting with 165 unique creatures — you’ll be battling, breeding, and taming like it's your job! Whether you’re on a mission to catch those elusive Luma and Umbra variants or engaging in epic turn-based battles with fellow tamers, every encounter is an adventure waiting to unfold. Picture yourself and your mates exploring lush environments, fighting off rival tamers, and diving deep into mythical Lairs where legendary beasts are lurking! It’s the kind of escapade that’ll get ya laughing with your pals while shouting “Yo, bro, I caught the rarest Tem!” in sheer excitement.
Now, let’s break it down a little. The mechanics? Get ready to strategically unleash your creatures in intense battles – it’s a crit-fest that pulls on your killer instincts! Team up with your crew to conquer those mythical Lairs and engage in strategic showdowns where every choice matters—there’s nothing quite like it! Plus, the breeding system? Let’s just say the possibilities are endless. It’s like playing mad scientist while catching your favorite Tems, and you know it’s gonna be a bit wild!

I gave this game a solid try, but the new player experience is garbage. I'm glad I got this one on sale, because if I bought it full price and then got thrown into this un-fun and directionless battle gauntlet I'd be pretty pissed. Pros: * The game is nice to look at * The battle system is interesting * I like being able to add to my dex by looking at other player's following buddies Cons: * The game throws a LOT of tutorial pop-ups at you instead of trying to teach anything organically. Granted, there is a lot to learn but the sheer amount and frequency can really take you out of an otherwise interesting battle system. * Quest tracking sucks. I barely got anywhere in the game trying to figure out what to do, and I can't even remember the plot as a result. It's frustrating to play. * The multiplayer feels really tacked on. I saw a lot of people just floating around in the air as they walked. And for a multiplayer game, I didn't feel like any areas were made for the MMO genre where you're meant to just sit around and talk. Really, if the game was single player I don't think it would be missing anything meaningful. Overall, big fat no from me. I really, really wanted to like this game and was really excited to play it after years. But when years down the line the first experience I got from the game was this terrible I can't say I ever want to play again.

Lower price, free passes, more patches. Then maybe buy it, if you don't have it already leave it for now probably.

fun pokemon-like. definitely worth a try
This game is pokemon if everything took 3 times longer to do. You get no exp, no currency, your starter first evolves at level 34 and so does most other creatures. The side quests are all fetch quests that reward you with nothing. The routes are full of npcs that start the battle with tons of pointless dialogue. Also it's online only. Get Cassette Beasts instead if you don't have it already it's much better. Temtem 3/10 Cassette Beasts 9/10 play this instead
